Eliana Calle Saari, was born in Medellin, Colombia, where she received an Associate
Degree in Fashion Design. Soon after, she moved to the United States to earn a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Art and Spanish from Otterbein College, and then a Master of Fine
Arts in Printmaking from The Ohio State University. She has split her time teaching
and making art professionally. Eliana has exhibited both nationally and internally
and has received multiple awards and residencies; in 2008, she was awarded the Artist
in Residence Exchange in Dresden, Germany by the Ohio Arts Council. In 2016 and 2017,
she received a printmaking award for her work in the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition.
In 2022, she was awarded the Greater Columbus Arts Council Professional Division Award
in the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition. In addition, she is currently a member
of the Phoenix Rising Printmaking Cooperative in Columbus, Ohio.
